Assessing websites

This workshop was useful to find out many websites that teachers can use in order to get truthful material for oue classess.

Working with wikis

This tool is a little bit complicated at the beginning, but when you learn to manage its options, you can do a lot of things. 

For example, here I created a description for an animal, I learned how to insert images and videos. When I had the final result I thought that it can be done with students in English clasess to practice grammar.

In this workshop I created a dialgue to practice simple present tense. I chose american voices to represent the characters.

Storybird

This story was created by Camila and I. We worked with past siemple tense, food vocabulary. We decided to make up a funny story for 5th grade.

Listening and Podcasting

This workshop is the one that I like the most. Camila and I looked for sound effects for scary story. We learned how to use audacity. In the beginning is very complicated and you need to be very pacient.

Comics

I worked with María Paz. I really loved this website because you can create your own characters. You can change their facial expressions and body gestures. The final result looks very real and characters matches with your story.

Flash games

I think this type of websites make the students feel that they are doing something different and playing, but they do not notice that they are learning through this.

I did not know how to use that technique in power point. It would be always useful learning new things to improve material for classes.

Journal first entry: Happiness

Some things make you very happy, but there are other things that make you very sad. Now I tell you the more important things in my life that make me happy.
In first place my family, they are the more important people in my life, my mother, my father and my grandparents. They always listen to me, take care about me, and they give me love.
In other place, my boyfriend he is my best friend and my partner. He is one of the more important person in my life.
Then, my friends. Sometimes you need trusted in someone, tell your problems, tell your sadness and your happiness. They are perfect to spare time in the beach, and have a good time in the sand, looking to the sea and then wait for the white starts in the dark sky.
Other things that make me happy are my bed, my computer and my TV.
Also in summer I feel happy, because I can go to the beach, and see a blue sky every day.
